1.  AirPhil plane makes emergency landing in Cebu


MANILA, Philippines – An Air Philippines aircraft made an emergency landing at Mactan International Airport in Cebu on Wednesday morning.


According to Jeff Bagolor of the airport’s operations center, Air Philippines Flight 2P 247 left for Davao at 9:15 a.m. with 121 passengers and 6 crew members.


At 9:41 a.m., the operation center received an emergency call from the pilot who reported the plane’s left engine was no longer functioning.


The plane landed safely at 9:53 a.m. The passengers were then transferred to a different aircraft.


Bagolor said 10 of the passengers, however, refused to take the backup flight, which left Cebu at 11:40 a.m
